Grove City Grad Named To Team USA

Grove City HS graduate & OSU Cheerleader Brittany Maynard has been chosen to represent Team USA at the 2011 International Cheer Union World Championships April 29, 2011 in Orlando, Fla. .
The Grove City graduate is a sophomore and was selected to the team by way of a closed-door tryout in Orlando – less than 24 hours removed from competing at the UCA National Cheerleading Championships where the Buckeyes once again placed in the Top 10. Tryouts consisted of standing and running tumbling and partner stunt skills in front of Team USA judges and coaches.
Last season more than 60 countries competed at the world championships and more are expected in 2011. Maynard is one of only two student-athletes from a Big Ten school who were selected to Team USA.
Brittany is the daughter of undoubtedly very proud parents Dwayne & Lavon Maynard of Grove City.
